Total Destruction

That servo caused the total destruction of 1 brand spanking new X-Cell SE (20 flights on the bird when the servo failed). We also lost 3 other helis at our field before we stoped using the servo.

That said JR may have fixed the servo by now.

You want to put it in your bird???

my friend has this servo in Hirobo Freya for tail control, it has about 2 hours flying . Gyro CSM 540 working in nondigital mode. Very good and very fast servo.

I've got one in a Raptor 30 w/ a CSM 540 gyro using the high data rate. It's got about 6 gallons on it with no issues. Servo was purchased about 14 months ago. I usually fly my Freya now so it doesn't get much air time...

Good but what about that Upgrade motor for that servo ???? isn't it there that we have the key to the sevro problem ?
I have the 8700g and the 8417 and they have a totaly different noise when activate .

Can you tell by looking at the servo if it has the old or new motor? I actually have two of them and I think that the second one I bought had a sticker on the box it came in declaring 'New Upgraded Motor", but I don't recall if the first one did...

check for a blue dot sticker on the back of the
servo body. If its there, its a new motor.

Z11355 - That's easy enough, and as I recall one of mine did have a blue dot on the back (although not now), I just can't remember which one is which........ Hmmmm, I might just send them both in to Horizon and have them look at 'em. I'm not flyin' the Raptor much and the other is just sitting in a box right now. Thanks for the info.

servo label

The new stuff from JR has a second servo label on the bottom.
The blue dot servos are converted old servos that were surplus at jr or returned to be converted to new motor.
