Does anybody know of a company that is offering the Sceadu Canopy in fiberglass? If not, has anybody tried putting on a fiberglass canopy from a different brand heli? If so, how did it come out? Was there alot of work involved? Do you have any pic's of your heli? Thanks in advance......

It's time to replace my canopy and I have found that to get a stock replacement with windshield and decals comes to $72.00!!

What a rip! In short, I'm in the market for a fiberglass canopy too. Greg T: do you have one and where'd you get it?!?!?

I'll Do It...

If someone wants to send me their bleach bottle canopy, I'll use it to make a mold, then sell the glass canopies for about $45 each. They will be gelcoated and pinhole free. Whoever sends me the bleach bottle will get the first one out of the mold for free.

Bill: How long would you need the canopy? Mine has some convex dents from impact with the mechanics from the inside. Will this still work for you or do you need one in perfect condition? Do you need a windshield too? I'd consider buying a new canopy and sending it to you if you would let me have the first glass one in exchange (and also send back my original when you were done making the mold).

Fiberglass Mold

The bleach bottle canopy would have to be a 'donation' as it would no longer be useable to you. Regarding the windscreen, I would be fabricating a one-piece canopy with the windscreen molded in place.

As far as the "dents" go, I'd prefer one that is dent-free.

It would probably take about a month before the first one was popped out of the mold.
