The manual states( read after I started break-in, guy thing) that , in bold type, it should not be broken in using 100% synthetic oil fuel. I ran one tank thru it, should I get a gal of castrol oil fuel to finish breaking it in?

I broke mine in on pure synthetic....it ran great and had tons of power! I may be one of the lucky ones.

I broke mine in on pure synthetic and i still run synthetic.
You can run castrol oil fuel but it will leave your motor and muffler with a gummy mess.IMHO i would use synthetic fuel. (but that is me)

Hope this helps

Broke it in.

Broke it in with 2 gallons of 5%/100%synthetic juice. I tried 15% right off the bat & decided to go with the 5%. The 5% really toned it down and I found the heli much more managable to get thru the hovering stage. It now has about 6 gallons thru it, 4 of those being 15% juice. Runs really well, good power.
You can try castor oil if thats your inclination. Afterwards let us all know how poorly it ran & how often it kept quiting in flight on you. And how much trouble you had tuning it. It will need constant tinkering with to keep it running smoothly. Did I say smoothly.
