| Ok.I'll give it a shot. But around here saying something can get your comments blasted rather easily. That is why my post count is low. I only provide info on what I have actual experience with. I have a Raptor 30 and Raptor 60. I had a Vigor CS(built, never flew) and Fury 60 Expert. I traded my Fury 60 Expert to ToppDog for his Raptor60 with some nice upgrades and spares.
The jump from a R30 to a R60 is quite an experience. The R60 has TONS more power and is very stable. The physical presence of the R60 in flight can be intimidating at first. But, you will adapt. I have been really pleased with my R60 so far. What else can you say? You should try to find someone that will let you fly theirs to answer your question best. In it's stock form it is a good starter 60 heli. Lighter than the Freya, easy to work on, and as cheap as it gets as far as a 60 is concerned. How does it fly? Well, I have a YS .61ST2 in mine and the power is phenomenal. It is actually faster than my Fury 60 was with the OS .61 SXH WC. A very stable and clean flying heli. Is it crisp on the controls? Yes, with a couple of aftermarket parts(V-Paddles, Ricks Dampners, etc.). So, what I am getting at is to get it to Fly like a Vigor or Fury you will spend some extra money. But, the base of parts that makes up the bird are cheaper than all the other 60s core parts. If you like the R30 then you will like the R60.
The Fury is a VERY nice heli. Well built and very well priced. My only complaint is that it is still pricey in repairs and this is always a discomfort to me when pushing myself out of my comfort zone to learn more. That is the ONLY reason I traded it. If you want to know how it flies just read around. You won't hear a bad report.
If money was not a factor I would still have that Vigor CS. Man what a bird!! I guarantee you that if it wasn't for the fact that the parts are so darn high that the CS would be it for me.
So, if money is a factor and you are looking at your first 60 spend all your money on a quality servos, gyro, engine/pipe. And then put the rest towards your heli. Then decide what machine you can afford to keep in the air.
Just my experience. |
