Shouldn't this be posted under Electrics--Fury Ion?

Get a life, will you?

I didn't know there was as FURY/ION forum.

Moreover, are there that many posts being made on this forum that nobody can afford to address discuss this one? I think not. It wouldn't have killed you (or anyone else) to answer my question.

But you....you had to be such smart a$$ that you made the effort to tell me only that I should have posted my question in another forum. In the amount of time it took you to do that, you could have attempted an answer to my question. You chose, instead, to be a jerk.

People like you should be caned.

Not trying to be a smart a$$ either

Dude, settle down. You DID post it under the wrong forum after all. He was only trying to help.

Smart Arse? Why would anyone with half a brain put this post here, and not under the Miniature Aircraft heading where someone who was posting there or monitoring the forum could give you a correct answer?
Instead you choose to be the smart ass and post the question in the Joker forum. How is that relavent?

misskimo
So if i have a question about an electric raptor, i should post it here?
I gave a legitimate answer to the question, and his post should have been at least in the Miniature section of the forum, since the people there are flying those helicopters, and usually are in touch what is going on with new products. Same with this forum. As far as help goes, i give out more help than i can tell you. No problem, i enjoy it actually.
But to turn around and give a reply like he did was really uncalled for. My reply was intended to help him get an answer to a question he had asked. If he truly was interested in when it was going to be released, he should have used the appropriate forum, instead of posting here.

Who will sell the IONs? And for how much?

I can only assume that this heli will cost well over $1500, no electrics.

Vario, no it wasn't.

If you had said, "FostersOilCan, you might be able to get more help in the FURY/ION forum"
.......that would have been construed as a genuine attempt to help me.

But you wrote, "Shouldn't this be posted under Electrics/FURY forum?"

That is the equivalent of saying "Go post this somewhere else", which is most decidedly not an attempt to help.

Now, if you had made an attempt to answer my question and then pointed out that there was a more appropriate forum, you wouldn't have received such a response.

Misskimo is ABSOLUTEY correct. I posted the question in this forum because the Fury ION is a .60-sized electric heli and because there have been a few people who have mentioned it to me in this forum. People who fly Jokers are probably keeping their eye on the Fury ION. Furthermore, I did not see a Fury ION forum on the Runryder homepage.

Hi

Well it can't be too far away, here's details of the Ion on the MA site
Click on the more pictures link for more, looks pretty tasty, and the vid shows it can perform.

Fosters, send a PM to Mark (Or Marion at the mo) to create a thread for the Ions.

I'd say "delicious" is the world.

"Tasty" just isn't strong enough for that heli. Know what I mean??

Why does that Hacker motor say "Ion" on it?

Is this a standard C50-15XL hacker motor, or is it something made specifically for the ION?

The motor and control and battery are specially made for the Ion-X. But many others will work with great success.

Release date is set for the March time frame.

Price should come in somewhere around $1100 to $1200 for the complete kit which will include the motor and speed control.

Later, a heli only kit will be released which will not include the electrics and will be available with a variety of gearing and motor mounting options. For those that may already have a motor that they like or just want to experiment a bit, this may be the best way to go.

There will probably be at some time, a conversion kit available that will change over a gas burner to an Ion.

Joker/Ion Bashing

I don't really like all this bashing going on about the Joker/Ion. Vario was right with his statement in that it should be posted in the Miniature Aircraft section as there are several threads there with information about the Fury IonX helicopter.
I wonder how would the Hirobo pilots feel if someone started to ask questions about a Raptor, or JR pilots getting questioned about setting up a Milli?
I quess that FosterOilCan thought that since this was the Electric heli section on RunRyder and that the Joker was comparable to the IonX in size and features; it would have been a great place to post his query.
I am very excited with the fact that another company has finally decided to come out with another 60-90 sized electric heli. This can only help to increase the numbers of pilots that are switching or trying out electric helicopters for the first time. For all we know: this may start a pattern or trend that shows just how great out electric helis fly and that they are a viable and cost efficient replacement for the glow flyers.
