Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > Tx Switches for Normal + 3 Flight Modes

Hi folks
My 3DNT kit has just arrived - yay! Now I'm trying to allocate the 3 flight modes to switches on my Tx (soft 3D, hard 3D and speed) as advised in the manual. The first 2 are easy enough, as they take the place of Idle1 and Idle2 - but where's a good place to hang the third mode (speed)? Any other comments?

Switches . . .

"No" Switch should be considered "Normal" Mode or [Soft 3D].
Then the other two notches are Idle up 1 for Increased 3D [Hard 3D] and then Idle up 2 for [Speed] . . .
God only knows why you'll need that??? Hard 3D should have you COOKIN' Mate!!!

Just use the idle up2 with a governor and a higher head speed

Thanks guys. Maybe I wasn't clear enough with my question. It seems to me that Jan is suggesting programming 5 flight conditions:
start (= normal)
soft 3D (= idle-up 1)
hard 3D (= idle-up 2)
speed (= idle-up 3??)
throttle hold (for auto-rotation)
I usually use the left forward switch (Futaba) for normal/1/2 modes (3-position) and the right forward switch for throttle-hold (2-position). My question was if anyone has added this 5th condition where did you add it and what priority did it have? Comments appreciated.

Hi,

Although I implemented the speed Condition for the first few flights, I deleted it after some time.
Do not worry about it, the speed is already very impressive at the beginning on the "hard" 3D condition.

Beware about disorientation and misorientation during the first flights.

if your tx dont have idle-up 3 option, you cant get it or must switsh in another ram.

On the PCM9x I have 4 flight modes and programmed in all the flight modes recommeded , but never used them passed the 3D and soft 3D..

Soft 3D rocks at 1300 head speed , leaves you grinning all day long
Happy flying
