I just got my stock Voyager.
It was built but never flown, other to set up and hover.

I need to set it up for my radio which is a Eclipse 7 with a Hitec Eclipse 6 receiver.

What do I do now?
The heli is my first heli and have no idea how/what to set the radio.
Thanks for any help!

As I see that nobody answers...
I don't have an eclipse, but things you should check are:
- swash movement (up, left right) in line with your Tx.
- Level swash on pitch curve.
- program your pitch and throttle curves the way you want (to start , from +3 to +9° is a good start).
- Put your gyro at 80 to 90% and chaeck by moving the tail it reacts the good way.
- chexk movement of the tail servo (good sense, span). At neutrral, tail blades shoud slightly be towards the boom, to counter the torque.
Find a trainer gear to help stabilize the heli.
At last, don't try to fly alone , it's too hard and parts break quite easily.

Actually the Eclipse radio comes with a very good manual that will guide you through the entire set up. Just read it carefully and completely. The info you need for setting up your gyro should explain its set up too in it's manual. The VE instruction manual is very complete too, and if you read it, it will guide you through pitch and servo set ups.

Not everyones set up will always be the same for specific radio settings since not all heli's are mechanicaly adjusted the same. I'd suggest you try to find some one in your area that could actually see what you've got and help you.

If all else fails, READ, READ, and READ some more!

Hi,

I'm running a Voyager E/Futaba 401 gyro/Eclipse 7/HiTec 7-8 Channel Supreme Rcvr.

I've managed to get in one session and the heli hovered well. Since then, weather here in OK has been too windy.

As noted, follow the set up very carefully from the Eclipse 7 manual.
Cermark 8 cell NiMH's at 3300 mAH are very good ... The tech support guys at Horizon Hobby recommended going with these batteries.

I ordered my training gear from Hobby-Lobby.com ... Use the one for the ECO8 ... It's very light, being carbon fiber.

Cheers ... Dean
