Are you kidding me the most important thing to the Bush administration right now is finding WMD's. Before the war started they knew that the army did not have enough chemical weapon suits and the ones they had were old. They went ahead with the attack anyway, if your a fool and think Iraq was that much of a threat because of chem weapons then why don't you ask why they did not have chem suits. I know why because they knew they did not need them.

Why don't you tell me how long ago the Kurish crime against humanity happen and why we did not say anything about it then. If GWB said we are attacking Iraq because of the attacks against the kurds I'm so sure you would not have said lets go, tell me a little about the Kurds you care enough about to think it's worth the lives of over 500 Americans. Part of being an American is being skeptical and if you think thats un-American you would have made a good German in the 30's

What if we waited another 10 years and Iraq had developed nukes? would that be the right time to take him out? He had the people and the refining equipment. (found burried in peoples backyards) from the looks of things, the only thing lacking was uranium. For all we know he had that too. Maybe sadam was taken at the right time?

Russia, has tons of WMD's, yet we do not consider them a threat. WMD's themselves do not constitute a threat. It is the intent that makes them a threat.

Look what happened with evil intent and box cutters.

I understand your point, but what if I had already been a criminal for decades, murdured 400,000 * people, should have been taken out 10 years ago, and appeared to be planning on bigger crimes?

Would you do something about me then? if not, why not?

If that proves true, then I guess the United Nations and all of it's member nations were on a fourteen-year goose hunt and perpetrated a false impression on the world and the United States.

Man, pretty much the whole world sure wasted a lot of time and money passing resolution after resolution for nothing, huh?

I guess that when Billary Clinton said in 1998:

"If Saddam Hussein fails to comply and we fail to act or we take some ambiguous third route, which gives him yet more opportunities to develop his program of weapons of mass destruction...he will then conclude that he can go right on doing more to build an arsenal of devastating destruction.... Some way, someday, I guarantee you he'll use the arsenal."

And so I guess when: "Saddam's son-in-law and the chief organizer of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program, defected to Jordan." and he informed us of "[A]n offensive biological warfare capability, notably 5,000 gallons of botulinum...2,000 gallons of anthrax, 25 biological-filled scud warheads, and 157 aerial bombs." he was probably just too embarrased to admit being a milkman.

Or perhaps when Eight European leaders wrote: "The Iraqi regime and its weapons of mass destruction represent a clear threat to world security. This danger has been explicitly recognized by the U.N." they were just licking the U.S. boots.

Hey Joey,

So now it's the United Nation falt that poor GWB had to send us to war, you can't really be that stupid can you. We went to war on our own faulty intelligence after rushing the UN inspectors out. I thought it was very original to some how blame Clinton, you should tell the other republican excuse makers to do the same thing. Oh wait I think they might already do that.

Either way, Saddam didn't comply with the sanctions agreed to post gulf war... You ask me, you don't willingly let inspectors in, you have something to hide. IMHO

I love these people who blasted the UN for not inforcing there resolutions when it comes to Iraq and say nothing about all of Israel's infractions. Just because we do pay attention to the hypocrisy of this does not mean the world do not see it. But than again alot of Americans don't think the worlds veiw matters unless it threatens them directly and then they want to over react.

Spaceman
Where in my post did I say that, get off the drugs. I guess if you can't argue with what I really said you'll make something up. I am not the kind of person who hides what he thinks so don't presume to know what I'm trying to say if I did not wright it. Obviously your not that intelligent.

Sealerman,

You distort Joeys statement that UN resolutions do nothing about Sadam, into looking like Joey is blaming UN, you also distort the fact that a single inteligence report that Iraq had obtained Uranium was false means we went there for no reason at all, so i distort your feeling of sadam, simple tit for tat.

its sarcasm, you know how it works, you use it all the time.

Whole different issue. Granted one worthy of discussion, but one that should be kept seperate and dealt with on its' own merits.

That's true, but we can only deal with so many at a time. Something else to consider is whether these other offenders are a threat beyond their own borders. Iraq posed a potential threat because of Saddams' prior use of chemical weapons on foreign enemies as well as his own people.

I have to agree that if you are in compliance with the U.N. resolutions why in creation would you want to play games with the inspection teams for a decade? I would think it to be in your best interest to go out of your way to satisfy the inspectors so you can normalize international relations again. My personal feeling is that the stuff has been divided up into small, easily transported, quantities and hidden in such a way that we would have to turn the entire country upside down and run it through a sifter in order to find anything. And that's if the stuff hasn't been hidden in someplace we can't search, like Syria for example.
