It's the accents that get me, specially over here. People from carlise I can understand perfectly, just over the border in Scotland I have to concentrate, and when there are drunk scottsman about, no chance

People from liverpool, birmingham and newcastle all have there own accents, what's that all about? they're only a few miles down the road and talk completely different !?!

tell me about it, im from wolverhampton! i heard a while ago that the wolverhampton accent (isnt exactly brummie!) was voted the worst in britain, i forget what the best was.

nothing wrong with the brummy accent, it's just different

I'll never forget going into a cafe in birmingham with my dad once about 10 years ago and we were ordering our food at the counter. There was this really rough looking birmingham lady taking our order with a really thick brummy accent and my dad says to me "hey don't they talk funny down here!" The woman turned to him coldly and said "actually I think it's you who are talking funny round here!" I didn't think we were going to get out alive!

You can't take him anywhere twice!
