last night i took out the jat cat to do some hovering. after about 10 min of just hovering around i put it down and when i shut it off it made this weird continuos noise like a motor was triny to come on byt the electric motor wasnt spinning. it did this for like 10 seconds and then went into its cooldown process with the electric motor. i filled it up and tried it again and it did it a second time.

what the hell is going on?

Rob it sounds like your starter motor was stuck, oil the bearing in the can. i have seen this happen on a few hp5's. check for rust on the bendix unit and lube it as well, i have seen the bendix unit stick and not engage the turbine shaft.
