Well there are various Heli shops here on the net... just check out the adverts here on RunRyder from various Heli shops.

I dont think so becaause they will then be under cutting their dealers.

"Or, can a local hobby shop that ordinarily doesn't stock MA products be able to get the heli for me?"

Sure they can as anything can be had for a price. If your local shop does not have an account with MA they may have to order at retail and of course charge you a bit more for their time.

What improvements do you foresee for IonX?....

Since this is the very first IonX model year, one can safely assume that the 2005, 2006, 2007 etc. versions will have improvements over the original. What improvements do YOU foresee MA making to the IonX?

I'm not talking about improvements in motor/battery technology, rather, I'm talking about things like using better materials, design improvements, i.e. things that could exist or already DO exist nowadays in current helis given the current technology.

I'm not trying to suggest that the IonX isn't fantastic quality. I'm just wondering if MA hasn't left something out of it that new owners might like to have on it.

I have a question. I have read people say, "the performance with LiPo is like that of a 90 ship for the first 4 or 5 minutes, then it's like a 60 size ship."

Well, once I flew a 80 or 90 in a heli, I quickly stopped using 60s.

Are we going to lose interest in flying even the best LiPo powered machines after 5 minutes? Not all of us posses the collective management skill of CY/JK/TB/AS... we like lots of extra power.

Can the speed control with governor setup be used to provide a more even performance from the batteries across the entire flight?
