the battery inside the 9Z plastic shell is a
std. size 8 cell pack.

you can simply purchase any number of
packs and 5 minutes of soldering and you're done.

Or you can buy the shell from radiosouth, buy
a pack and DIY for short money.

or you can send the existing pack to Duralite
and go down that road if you wish.

Jeff,

The NiMH pack works great! I actually used it today and it lasts much longer than the stock pack.

I thought about making one myself but for the small savings in money, it was not worth my time.

Buy one from the David via the link I listed above. You wont be sorry.
