Is there a proceedure to breaking in a new motor, mine is EF7 stock motor that came with the kit. I read one article that said to run motor for fifteen minutes submerged in a glass of water using two "D" cells to power it, then clean it up and reoil

Chazz,
Your mostly right, I submerge mine in water for a 3 minute run, then change the cloudy water for fresh and do another 3.
Dump your water out and shake as much as you can from the motor, then resubmerge it in rubbing alcohol and run for 1 minutes, this displaces all the water and will leave you with a squeaky clean motor!
Then use the oil on the bearings and you will be ready to go.
And yes, use 2 "D" dry cell batteries. Just hook alligator clips to the motor leads and away you go.
Make sure of your rotation when breaking in!!!!
If in doubt put your pinion on and check it against the main gear to be assured you don't do this wrong.

I wouldn't run any longer than that, the stock brushes are very soft and will wear down quickly.

Hope this helps
