Chimes, I think I may have the very first sea knight vertol 001 imported into the US by GMP. It was originally purchased thru Gorham Model Products who was at the time the sole Hirobo distributor in the 80's. the cost was about $1,100.00. It was demo'd at Lehigh Valley PA. and Bear Mountain NY (hudson valley aircrews), and it flew every weekend at my field as I was heavily in to scale then.

It is still with me thru the years in the orig .30 size config. Eventually I will get it upgraded. At the time it was pretty much a unknown heli. At times I like to fly it without the body, in the summer just to keep it cool. folks could see the mechanics working while in flight.

one of my friends from france purchased one to take back home, he was hovering it within a couple weeks. it's really not that hard to fly.

it's a cool scale ship, lots of fun there!.
