I know a few of you have this heli, like Seneca and Van. Is it as hard to fly as I think it might be? How about the build process? I am starting to think about getting one and have heard Hirobo may be updating it and coming out with a newer version. Any thoughts or insight is appreciated....................Dave

I have Flown my Buddys Vertol .. (Van) I would have to say it is Very Smooth and Precise .. The Tail takes a little getting used too but over all its like everything else. Now mind you Diego Takes his time and gets everything lincage were its supposed to be .. From what I can see from Flying others compaired to his .. well Getting the proper setup is the Answere to success!

The build process is not that hard, everything is bolt and nut, the difficult part is the setup, it took me a one week to do, remember that you are setting up two flight barless head, but when I did flight it, it was easier than my hawk. Now I do have the old vertion and I did change all links and reinforce all push rods w/carbon fiber rods, added an extra gas tank, 2 G501 gyros, plus I did install a OS50 on it. I will not change this HELI for nothing.
Diego. Working on the boddy right now.

Whatever happened to Hirobo promising a "new" updated version based on the O.S. 50? I heard alot of hype about it and haven't seen anything. They annouced this around the same time as the EC135 kit alomost two years ago..

Yep That is Duey's Vertol

Yep that Vertol belonged to Duey Li. It was his entry into the 2002 Top Gun competition. Unfortunately Duey had a servo or gyro failure the day before the flight rounds started. It was a beautiful model, the photos do not do it justice.

Oh Yeah, The guy with the microphone was the CD for the event, Mr. Jerry Hicks, (aka the thongmaster!)

Yes, that was Duey's Vertol and he lost an elevator servo while competing in Top Gun a few years ago. MHW had some great photos of it up close and personal before it met terra firma.

Duey also has a sweet little Huey with a 50 in it, it's almost the same color as the vertol, very nice flying heli.
