e-Electric Motors & Controllers > Hacker B20-22s Phoenix 10 ESC Wiring question

I am trying to figure out how to wire up my Phoenix 10 and hacker b20 motor. According to the ESC insctructions, I should just connect the color coded wires to each other (red, white, black). But the 3 wires on the motor are all one color, and there are no polarity markings, nor does the hacker pamplet mention anything about it.

Is it safe to randomly hook up the motor wires to the speed control? (i can't find any distinguishing marks on the motor or wires)

Yes, it is. Then, test the direction and if it is backwards reverse any two wires. Welcome to brushless motors.
