Bush has got a great plan with his no child left behind crap. Let's see, every child has to be up to standard by 2010, which is impossible. Sorry, but too many kids are ESE, SED, ESOL, etc. to be able to read/perform at grade level. So, when they fail to measure up, they'll cut money from schools.

How about if our welfare system quits paying a bunch of ignorant ass deadbeat parents to be baby factories and have a bunch of kids that they don't give a **** about. Its not the teacher's fault, most teachers try very hard at what they do. The parents of these kids are the problem.

I'm not political at all. Republican,Democrat I could care less.
I'm at the low end of the money chain.I have worked in a few factories and small businesses.
I just dont agree with the trickle down theory. I have seen the owners line their pockets when things are good, but forget about the workers who made them the $. I get the used crushed walnut shells!!
I'm going to be making less this year because My Boss/owner is going to charge us more for Insurance premiums. Even though he switched companies to save money. And now I also have to pay more because the new company doesn't cover things the old company did.

One word : DEFICIT

Before I volunteer to fix some foreign country, I should
make sure that mine is not falling apart...

Looking at your neighbor who just lost their job because the
fatory closed and saying that they are not victims of the economy
and that they are lazy, you have to be a fcuking a$$hole...
While billions of their tax $$ are being spent to build up some
other country.

How many soldiers would have gone to Iraq if they had been
given the choice...

I know I would die for my family, but dying for someone else
is something different...

I would like to know if anyone lost a family member in the war
and do they still support it.

If the damn democrats would support some limits on the crazy lawsuits insurance companies are having to pay, your insurance would be cheap as hell. My company is in the insurance business. You're not the only one who is paying more, everybody else is too. Something has got to be done about these problems soon, or none of us will be able to afford insurance.

claysmith,

I agree with you about limiting the lawsuits. Sometimes I can not even watch the news. There are too many people who look at a lawsuit as an alternative to winning the lottery. They need to make the awards reasonable. I just wonder where they find these people to sit on the jury and award these large settlements.

I also agree that the reason we are over in the middle east is because that other guy that the democrats called a president did NOTHING to prevent this. I think that Bush is trying to clean up all the crap from the previous 8 years. We all know that these jokers had to be delt with sooner or later.

As for the economy, I am 100% positive that it was headed in the crapper before Bush and before 9/11. The economy natually has expansion and contraction. It has to! A large portion of the recession was due to the OVERVALUED Tech stocks. It was just plain silly to invest THAT MUCH money in the dot coms which have no assets.

I personally think that the economy is better now than when Bush took office. The company that I work (homebuilder) for has had remarkable growth over the past few years. Car manufactuers have posted great returns as well.

Oh goody

This is goona be fun fun, I can debate politices without robbing a thread.

(I'll be speaking from the heart so there will be misspelling)

RickC,

Bush inhereited a nosediving economy. Regan set up a winner, Clinton did no maintance and down the tubes it went. The start of the DOW decline is exactly the day Clinton went after Bill Gates (instead of Bin Laden). I really liked the missle strikes out of nowhere the day of the Lewenski trail, where were you UN permission slip liberals then?

It is a miracle the declined was stopped, espacally after 911. It is a super miracle we got some growth. It is a super duper miracle we have RECORD GROWTH in the age of terrorism!

Im at work, if I get started here I'll never stop. Go ahead with a rebuttal so I can get jazzed up, please. But beware, I am the Liberal Slayer when it comes to debates. BRING IT ON!!!!!

Thanks Guys

But from my belly of fire I have a haunting forecast:

Our capiatalist society is like a pyramid. The more ambition you have the higher of tier you get on - no problem. But then enter the democrats...They promise the bottom feeders of society somthing for nothing. Like a pyramid the bottom is the biggest. The false promises are hard for the uneducated to resist. The sence of etitilement runs rampant in America. The democrates will stay VERY powerful at LEAST.

The top 5% pay 50% of the taxes. In short, succsess in pentalized. This can only go on for so long. This is why any tax cut seems to benifit the "rich" disporportionality Who is gonna bust thier hump only to pay more taxes and reep no reward. We have our work cut out for us, an uphill battle. The class envie weapon is nuclear.

RickC, dont tell me only the rich get richer. With student loans, grants and condoms, anyone can make it here. Just dont have kids before a solid career. Because of technology the world is a small place. If one only has the skills of a monkey, there will be millions in line competing for ones job, and most are willing to do it for less. Democrates fail to understand this and try to counter by raising minimum wages and promising prosparity to every couch potato in our bountiful fruited plain. The "poverty" folks here are the most obeses group on the planet and have multiple cars and televisons. Must be an OK place to live. (Not puttin down fat people, I'm sportin' an extra tire myself).

I'm just gettin started, but my 1.5 yr old son needs my time right now. Maybe more after "bedtime"....

Regan set up a winner

Haha good one. 1978 the economy was smokin with Carter in office, 1982 the bottom fell out and ran down hill for 12 years until Clinton stepped in and made work plentiful for blue collar workers.

Better tell that to George HW Bush, Clinton followed him, how does HW skip by, oh ya your impaired with Rush. Clinton had to clean up both messes.

all i have to say is that if any of these creepy democrats running for pres.. we are in serious trouble. i wish we didnt have the 2 term limit and could have kept Regan in office. That time was some of Americas best years. AND yes.. Clinton did f**k up the country when he was in. had a chance to nip this North Korea thing in the ass but no... had a chance for bin laden.. but no.. too busy screwin the intern slut to give a damn about the country. he did nothing for the military. nor have many democrats for that matter. he was slime. PERIOD . no one asked for the things that happend in 2001, but Pres. Bush had to deal with them. and in my opinion, he handled them well.. yes i disagree with some things.. but the good far outweigh the bad.. people need to stop being hung up on political parties and start electing the right person.. not just the biggest kiss ass, baby kisser, what have you.. and fortuneatly G.W was the right person.. Had it been Gore, we would be walking to work, or riding bicycles like other countrys. That guy has no place in the oval office at all. and as for 2008, when the other clinton runs.. look out.. cuz its gonna be a slug fest. she is just as kiniving as the first one. politics blow, all it does is cause friction like in a few posts here already. and as far as the media.. well your niaeve to think it isnt liberal controlled. they only exist to cause panic and hysteria.. you hardly ever hear of something good.. its always the bad. always quick to make assumptions, and critisize everyone . but thats all im gonna say bout that.

You listen to Rush?

George Sr preidency can be summed up in one word -

Gridlock.

Like driving a Corvett in a sea of dumptrucks. Democrap house and senate.

Have you seen the stock market lately AND highest rate of home ownership in history.

As far as jobs,

Currently I need enigneers, all levels, Cad techs, all levels, land surveyors, all levels. 12 total. Can't find them. Nobody is pursuing these careers because the "blue collar" workers turning the stop/go sign at the construction site make more money than the non unionized engineer who had to know the math, science, geology, hydroloics, geometry, population forecasting, statistics, contracting, specifying etc etc to design the thing and they have their license at stake over a freakin typo. Why go to college, the democrates will take care of you. To make up I'm working seven days a week. Do you think this will advance our country? This is why our labor is getting farmed out.

Also, in the early 1900's fully one third of the nation was needed for food production. Now only three percent. This is only one example. Jobs aren't going away, they are becoming more technical. It used to take tens of thousands of switchboard operators to make phones work. Now it takes zero. Our brightest students are now Asain and Indian, They come over with an understanding of what I am preaching.

Is that all you got?

Kotzibue?

I would bet you are the northern most RunRyder. Cool!

For those unfamiliar (I have been there once, at 7 years old). These villagers still live off of the land. A whale haul-in is a village event, for village food. Has to be seen to be appreciated. To bad the Libs want to take away the hunting and fishing rights. This is how these people survive. No 7-11 to get hot dogs. You got whale, salmon, or caribou or death. My appreciation for the eskimo way of life cannot be expressed in words. I am a wannabe.

LOL regardless of your political views.

Unions build this country; if it were not for unions many safety protocols would never have been implicated. Wages would not be what they are today. I'm an Engineer, an Operating Engineer. I build roads and bridges. If it were not for our skilled trades the transportation system would greatly suffer. Hydraulics is also spelled HYDRAULICS

You ask why is our labor being farmed out, because the unions are not as strong as they once was, Ragan started his union busting rampage on the air traffic controllers, and it doesn't take long for others to jump on the bandwagon.

You better think who you want sitting in the seat of that crane setting that bridge iron, a skilled union employee or someone hired off the street.

RickC and Clinton

Rick,

If you are a democrat that is one thing, I probably would have been a democrat if I were an adult in the sixties. I just want to know up front, as a democrat, if you align yourself with Clinton.

I have problems with Bush, his domestic policies are too liberal for me. I would vote for him again rather than any democrat though. If this fun debate is to continue, I would like to ask if you are a Clinton democrat, sounds like you are, you said he "cleaned up" after the republicans. You can be be a democrat for the people, and still reject Clinton. This is your last chance.

His staff vandalized the white house as he left office. He left his porn videos on Air Force One, he pardened convicted drug dealers, he couldn't even keep his marrage vows with his wife, he bombed an asprin factory in the Sudan, had a chance at BIn Laden after the first Trade Center Bombing, he considered Microsoft more of a domestic threat than Bin Ladin, his staff burned innocent children in Waco Texas...I can go on and will. I repeat this is your last chance to separate your self from this villian. I can see how one could be liberal, just dont let your hatred take over your common sence. This man was a dark figure in American histroy. Since he left office, every canidate he has endorsed, has lost. Think about it...
