Hi,

Need new tx battery for my 9chp cos my 700mah nicad has had it, just not holding its charge anymore.

Was thinking of the 1100mah nicad http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/a...cad_TxPack.html

Anyone using these, how long do they last on a charge or do I need bigger maybe Nimh.

I'm using a 1100mah battery and am getting 4 1/2 hours, how long did you get out of the 700mah battery?

I've ordered a 1100mah, I was only getting about 1 1/2 hrs from the 700 it used to last ages.

It sounds like it built up a memory... did you try giving it a couple of cycles?

I haven't tried a couple of cycles yet will do the weekend.

My 1100mah nicad arrived, now for first charge shall I use the standard Futaba wall charger rated at 70mah. Works out it will take 22hrs or charge it from my Supanova at 0.1a, and it will be about 15hrs ?

In my opinion....yes...if you have a charger that can cycle it.... I would put one cycle through it at that rate...disch>chrg...

My Supanova will only discharge at 0.5a minimun so I will discharge it at that and charge at 0.2a.

What do you recommend for cycling 1700mah rx packs ?

And what would be a safe fast charge for the 1100mah tx battery and the 1700mah rx battery ?

Again these are the specs that my triton gives... which Im sure is pretty standard

1700--------0.2A--------------1.7A-------------------4.5 - 5A
1100--------0.2A--------------1.1A-------------------2.2A

Its an Adobe PDF... Page 28 is the chart that comes with the manual that gives you a setup chart on chrg/dischrg for the diff types of Batts.
