Ianous Heliman Location: Melbourne Australia
| While flying my Nexus 30, I had a tail rotor drive shaft failure. This heli had only done approx 10 hrs flying, and is now a write-off. Main reason why it is a write-off is due to the astronomical prices that the local Australian distributor (Dawn Trading) charges for parts.
When I contacted them they asked where it had been purchased from. I had actually bought it privately, unassembled still in the box. They basically said that they probably will not honour any warranty because they did not sell it directly to me.
Now, not withstanding any warranty issues, do you not think that they should at least investigate the reason for the failure, before anyone is killed! Could anyone please give me advice with this matter. I have contacted the next closest distributor and they are yet to respond to me. Cheers, Ian. |
