I am trying to find out if there would be any interest in a power supply that plugs into the wall to run a field charger or any other charger that requires 12 Volts DC. It is an extremely clean power supply, computer quality. I have made half a dozen for guys in my local R/C club. They love them. They are perfect for the Triton or any similar charger. No more charging a big car battery so you can charge your little battery. You plug this into the wall, turn on the power switch, the cooling fan comes on, connect you charger with either banana plugs or alligator clips and your ready to start charging. The charger will work with any charger. I am thinking about selling them on-line. Looking to see if there is any interest out there? Please let me know if it something that interests you.

Thank you for your feedback.

I just take a cheap computer power supply and use the 12v output to run my charger. They're running around $10-15 on pricewatch.com.

Just curious, what sort of price can you sell them for? I use a power supply I purchased from Radio Shack. It outputs 10 amps 12 vdc. I think that I paid around $60 for it. I supplys more that enough power to run my two Super Novas.

If you can sell them in the 30-40$ range you should be able to sell a few

I purchased a SAMLEX 5 amp power supply off of an electronics supply store on the web brought it for 32.00 plus shipping
At the field I use a compact 12v 7.5amp dry cell

I see you are also from MA Blademan7065 were abouts?

An ordinary pc power supply unit should push 13Amp's no problem
Here's the spec's of my wimpy 230w pc psu it shows 14Amp's at +12vdc.

Most pc psu's are 300w plus and will have no issue with 13Amp's

Here's a pic of the front, with cigar lighter socket built in.

It works great

Don't want no stinkin Computer power supply...

I am sorry to burst your bubble but my power supply is based off a computor power supply. The biggest difference between mine & others is mine is an 11amp power supply. As to the number of cells that you can charge & at what amperage yopu can charge them at, everything is relative. The more cells that you charge the lower the rate will have to be. I have charged an 18 cell pack @ 1.5amps without having a problem. I am not saything that you couldn't charge at a higher rate, I just haven't tried myself. Hope that answers your questions.

Bill you can try this charger its called the wattage its ac/dc powered and will save you money and headaches. check "link below" Or you can go to radio shack as I did and purchased me a 3 amp dc unit and used it for about 4 months and got the 15 amp charger as a present. The 3 amp is 39.95 and the 15 amps is 69.95 or 59.95 not sure. I currently have the multiplez Ln5014 charger which is about 79.95 and works great. No one sent me any pics as you can see that post is over a year old I should of went this way with the wattage but it only does up to 3 cells and mine does 5 cells in case I go to something bigger like a trex or something bigger? Jimmi P.S. you get a wattage and pay 69.95 period no dc charger needed or get an xpeak charger or multiplex LN5014 price about 80.00 and you still need a 12 volt dc power supply which run fron about 40.00 on up to 100.00 good luck on your choice
