| Hi !
Just thought I have to let you know, that my Zyclone arrived yesterday. I ordered it completely built and ready to fly. I got a wonderful heli, finished in a perfect way. Without any doubt those guys at Scalecopter are absolutely professionals.
The heli has been delievered in an all over blue very light flightcase filled with foamings to protect the heli during transport. The case is water protected so that its possible to carry it on the roof of my car and take it with me during vacation without loosing any space inside the car.
We drove to the field, fueled it up, started it and Gerhard just flew around....After some rounds and deep explanations from Elliot how to handle the turbine he handed over the radio to me and I did my first steps into turbine flying....great feeling and great smell around !
I sent them my radio to program it and nothing has to be changed on the field.
I now have two flight conditions:
1st for flying around
2nd for 3D with +/-12° degree pitch curve
At least I had to wait eight weeks (has been announced before..), but this wild thing is worth waiting for.
They also had their newest release with them, the new EC120 Colibri. This is absolutely amazing and sure my Zyclone will end in this heli during summer. I only have to change two side frames to let the mechs fit into the EC120.
The fuse is made from carbone sandwich and although it is about 240cm long, it only wheights 2KG. It is absolutely stiff and only three bulkheads (also carbone sandwich plates) are neccessary. One as a base plate, one as a base for the mechanics and one as mounting rack for the boom which is removable.
So I ordered it and now have another problem to be discussed with my wife..., but if she will see me as a 1:4 scale pilot sitting in the EC120, she sure will understand why this is a must ! Yes....they do offer to realize yourself as the pilot....
Today, I will burn some cerosin...
