e-Lite Machines Corona > Question about Crutch assembly on Corona 120

Hi, I've already finished (and painted) the crutch, and now I'm on to other assembly tasks. But, when I was getting ready to put the main shaft on the crutch for balancing-blade purposes, I noticed that when my crutch was standing straight-up, the front of the crutch angle's so that the firewall and floor angles slightly downward to the keel ( towards the tail of the crutch). The directions stated 90 degree angle. Is this big enough of a deal that I need to raise the tail support a little with some extra wood and glue? Thanks, Steve.

All that really matters is that all of the moving parts that connect to other moving parts can be positioned at proper right angles. This includes motor-to-main shaft and main shaft-to-tail shaft. A slight problem in the alignment with any of those parts can generally be solved with some judicious filing, sanding, or shiming. Otherwise, any slight misalignment of the crutch will not be critical.

Thanks utahrc

Hello, that's good news. I'll keep an eye out on the right-angle of the moving parts and I can always do something about it at the end.
