Gasser Model RC Helicopters > Is the Bergen as good as X-Cell

I have narrowed my choice down to two Gassers.
X-cell and Bergen, I am 90% sure that i will go with the Bergen as it is supplied with the latest G26 motor. I also realise there is a new Fury Gasser due soon, but I beleive that uses CCPM, but I would sooner go withnon CCPM, hence my reason on the Bergen.
I just need to know are there any issues to know about with the Bergen.
Any help Appreciated.
Thanks

The question REALLY should be: "Is the Xcell as good as the Bergen?" With the Bergen control system, you don't "need" e-CCPM.

Get what you can afford. Either one will do just fine. Do a search on said subject.

I am in the latter stages of building Bergen Gasser, have not flown yet. I have a couple of Xcells, they are very good quality. Bergen is very high quality and the customer service is absolutely outstanding...I have received prompt responses to any questions I have had. I think you would be happy with both products, I based my decision on a gasser, as you are doing, via this forum. I am very pleased so far with my decision.

Depends on who you ask

It depends on who you ask. All the Bergen reps will tell you Bergen is the best and all the Xcell reps will tell you Xcell is the best.

I think your best bet it to look around you field and see what other people fly there, then ask them for their opinion based on what they have. Also, if people at your field are flying Bergens, then get one as you will have local support. If they are not then you might be the odd apple by yourself and alot of times it helps to have someone else there with knowedge about your machine.

In any case the choice is up to you. Personally I fly Xcells (since 97) and back then and now most of the people at my field fly Xcells. We don't have a single Bergen pilot (had ONE back in 1997), and so it was the better way to go for me. All I can say is that I am very happy with my machine and glad to own it and fly it as much as I can. I've managed 1064 flights to date and I just can't get enough of it! I wish I was out flying now but I gotta be at work!!

And where do you live?

Yeah? Well you are in the same state as them so it makes sense since you have to order everything direct anyway. Not to mention you live like 15 miles from them so you can drive there to the only "local" Bergen hobby shop and get parts. I'm not surprised people in the immediate area fly Bergens, are you?

Most accurate statement I've read here in a long time.
