A good "rough estimate" of what any helicopter will lift is about 1/2 of it's own weight if everything is up to snuff on the heli, but this is a max figure and you wouldn't want to fly much with that much weight. Hope this helps.

for the best lifting you would need to find either flat bottom blades (if they make then) or use a semi-Symmetrical blade. thay tend to give the best lifting performance.

Make sure you get all the pieces...

The Hirobo Eagle I have weights originally around 15 lbs. I´m flying it with a total weigh of 21 lbs but last week I tested how much can it lift and the limit was something around 31 lbs may be more with leaner carb settings but that was just a curiosity test.

Im starting out with a Freya 60, Hatori exhaust, 15% nitro, 98 semisim blades (see my pics)
Im lifting 2.5k or 5 pounds and it seems to have spare power to lift and decently fly 1.5 / 2 pounds more.
Just had to modify the throttle curve.

Interesting thread!!!

Semi, or flat bottom blades will lift more, but do not handle windy conditions nearly as well, now, assuming you are lifting a camera??
If not then never mind
