why does everyone have the corona and no one has the gas styles. there seems to be a lot of bad talk about theses helis they are a fixed pitch, just like the HB, PC, Skylard, Hornet........ i own a HB and i have a friend that has the corona. the corona out does the hb and the hb is a good micro, or so iam told. i like it.

if people are all getting FP choppers, why not get the bigger more stable, easier to fly choppers?

can someone let me in on the reason that no one really talks to loud about the LM helicopter. to me it seems that the cost is about the same or less by the time you buy all the batteries motors chargers upgrades to make it really worth flying with out having to fight it. i can fly mine around ok it was cheap on repairs, but the upgrades caught up to me.

i wanted the Hawk sport, but it was to much money at the time, now my hb is really close to the same cost.

the kit was $279 with all the things to fly, for the HB
the Hawk is the same for the kit w/ motor.
get the radio vg6000 w/servos $165

buy the starter kit and you are on your way. total cost about $500

if i was to start over i think that the LM helicopter is the way to go.

there where a few questions in this mess somewhere, can someone please fill me in

Thanks
Paul

The Corona falls into a middle ground. It is too big to fly in the house (you can hover in one spot.. that's it). If someone is going to get the gas version , (110? 117?whichever it is) they are probably just going to get a larger heli. As an electric, it is still small enough to equip with affordable components. Any bigger, and you might as well get a Logo or something similar. And, of course, the micro market is flooded with choices.

I agree on the cost though. After modifications to my Dragonfly, I could have had a Corona. Now I've got both. I should have done the Corona first. If only I had known then.....

I've had both the 117 and the 120. The 117 was nice but the engine is tough to start. I got rid of the 117 and fly the 120 in front of the house. It is very convenient and very easy to fly. I'm primarily a gas heli flyer but I get my fix with the Corona flying it under the trees and landing it on top of the car. Very tough heli. Just plug the battery and I'm flying. No equipment or fuel to deal with and yes right from the garage to the street.
