Hi,
I am going to get a GY401/9253 combo for my Raptor60.
It seems that the 9253 is a very weak servo, and it will be getting worked thoroughly by the gyro, is there any special tricks I will need to do in order to ensure that the servo is happy?

The servo is mounted at the front of the tail boom, and still uses the steel rod with the stock plastic guides.

I would like to avoid spending $$$ upgrading to the JR T/R hub with thrust bearings. But I would also like to avoid spending $$$ on crash parts because of a T/R servo failure.

Weak servo?

Tail rotor do not need a strong servo for the 60s( not too sure for the gasser though) only require faster servo. I have 401/s9253 on my 60 size works great. great choice for the gyro/servo combo. You'll like it.

I have the GY401/9253 combo on my 60 and 50 and you will not be dissappointed. I do recommend that you get the tail mounted servo and push rod kit to take full avantage of what this gyro can do for you. It takes all the slop out of the controll system. I can hold my ships in a 15 mph crosswind and take my finger compleatly off the rudder stick and the gyro will hold it perfectly.

I am just a newbie, but I have been hovering and doing multiple hovering piro's.

I was concerned about the servo on a 60 szie machine and asked the question here. Nothing but good replies and I have not had a problem with gyro/servo, etc.

I have a carbon pushrod and boom mounted T/R servo.
