I'm assembling a Raptor kit.In the washout where the control levers are pinned to the arms is there supposed to be any resistance? The pins fit tight through the arms & also the levers which makes for some binding. The same is true in the rest of the kit. What is the fix for this?

Do you have the 20 bearing upgrade? Either way you don't want to overtighten the screws doing so will make the bearings or bushing's bind. Use a dab of CA (super glue) on the end of each screw before installing it, be careful to keep it out of the bearings though.

The parts that have some resistance are the washout linkage where it attaches to the control lever by a steel pin. There are no bearings here, only plastic to plastic attached by the steel pin.Another question;should the steel pins be secured to keep them from working out? They fit pretty tight through the control lever but are not as tight in the linkage.I'm thinking that a drop of CA is needed here.

Hey Phil, I bougt a used Rap 30 a few weeks ago and just checked the connection at the washout links to arms. There is a pin there and mine has just slight resistance. Certainly is not tight. Yours will probable loosen up as it breaks in. I guess you could sand a tiny portion of the arm between the two sides of the link and see if this frees it up. Im sure you do not want any slop at this connection though so be cafeful not to take to much. I do not see any ca on the pins on mine. They have stayed in fine.

They will loosen up after a few flights. They only move a few degrees, so the binding is not that critical. Just let em break in some and then worry about it if you still have problems after 10 flights.

Don't use any CA. As Dwayne pointed out, there is very little movement on these and they'll loosen up on their own.
The resistance is actually between the link and the arm and has nothing to do with the pin.

You might want to slightly shave the width
of the arms a tiny amount so that the 'ears'
on the smaller A shaped arms do not have
to spread out. You dont want to ream any holes
or use CA.

I miss read that one, they are absolutley right DO NOT use CA on those pins. I thought you were talking about the screws that attach the mixing levers to the washout base. Sorry for any confusion.
