I'm have a question about the setup of the quick learner .30. I'm not into 3D flight yet. But I was noticing the blade grips seem to get much more positive pitch and very little negative pitch. A few degrees at most I haven't gotten blades on it yet so maybe this is just a stupid guestion. Is this normal for this helicopter? Is that to be expected of a learner model? Or is it likely that I messed up somwhere in the assembly? I'd much appreciate any input on this matter.

Something must be wrong with your setup. Itīs no problem to have +9 to -9 degree pitch on the Learner! Even more is possible! Have you followed the instructions for the mechanical setup? Have you setup any pitch curves yet? The model is called Learner but I can assure you itīs capable of very advanced flying! The pilot is the limit!

I agree, you should recheck your set up. The heli is definetly capable of more that 20 degrees of pitch. When in doubt start all over, check everything twice and it WILL fly nice.

I don't know alot, but I know what works for me!......................Memiors of a Schleprock.

Okay thanks guys I have follow the instruction thourouhly. But then perhaps I should have made the control rods shorter when adjusting them out rather than just make them shorter. I'll need to give it anouther look from the begining.

Thank you very much

I think I've found the problem

I went back and check the measurments of everything. Everything was fairly close to the original measurments but not exact. I played with them to level the swashplate. But my control rods that run between the seesaw, & the Hillar about 3.5mm longer than the instructions suggest.

Thanks again I appreciate it

What you need to do is adjust the rods so that you have the hiller arms, washout arms level at mid stick with 0 degrees pitch. Then you will have the correct pitch range.
