Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > Canopy touches Manifold

Any one know why the canopy touches the manifold. I have already made a bit of a burn mark on the inside and wondered if this is the same for everyone and what things i could do to stop it burning my new paint job. Any ideas ?

Cheers

You can either cut it away at the point of contact and expose that nice shiny manifold pipe

Or you can fit a piece of heat protective material with superglue on the touching part.

Or, like my latest canopy, you can 'bear with' the burn mark - it's hardly noticable most of the time anyhow

Cheers
Richard.

I have used some aluminium tape, about 3 layers.

No signs of burning on my canopy and the manifold does touch it.

Found the perfect thing today...

Pop down your local homebase , B&Q etc and buy a plumbers heat mat for about 5 pound. I cut out a little square ( Loads Left if any one wants some ) and glued it on with epoxy ..

Tested it before with a piece of steel , heated it right up and could pick it up with the mat... No problems here ..
