What do you guys make of this one. My friend sent me picture of a heli that his dad baught for 15 bucks at a garage sale. Looks pretty much like jump to me.

It's an old Hirobo Shuttle. Has the old belt start setup.
Doesn't look too bad if the bearings & engine isn't all messed up.

How much?

I have students with relatives always looking for a cheap way into the hobby. What TX and misc. equipment was included and how much do you want for her. Shipping to TX will probably cost more that she is worth, but I'm willing to give you something more that $15 for her and bring her back to life with spares that I already have in stock. advancement is amazing

wow i bet back in the day that was the shizznitty......kinda crazy how far this hobby has come in the past 10 years its kinda cool when ya think about it .......NASA or some company invents some kick but carbon-poly-composite stuff that is lighter and stronger and in a matter of a few years, they make R/C stuff out of it.

Repair

I might try to repair it, it doesn't look that bad. One guy offered me 50 plus shipping, but he hasn't responed since, so unless he emails me back soon or someone else offers that, Ill prob just keep it. I can't get the engine to turn over, so I don't know how bad it is. The radio is pretty old 4 ch, the servos dont look bad. The flybar and all linkages need replacement. Damn that engine is small, it looks about as big as one of those Lite machines LMH engines. I have a .46 engine heli, are 30s really that much smaller.

Anyone knows who is a guy dealer or hirobo parts that I would need for this thing.

She used to look like this, I bet!

I was given this one this weekend. I got the gyro runnin' and the motor freed up after it had been in a garage for about 10 years. I even got the old battery packs to come up, but I don't know if I would trust them with the motor running.
