| Have you ever played with a magnifying glass as a kid, to start paper or dried leaves smoking ?
The camera may get damaged by the suns rays coming in through the lens. Folks have had burn marks on their shutters, and CCD elements have had what shows up as orange streaks or splotches on them.
One fellow was taking timed photos out his window, and the sun burned an arc across his CCD. Another left his camera facing up on a picnic table without a lens cap on it.
In any event, it is something to think about. |
