Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > 9C Idle-ups.. not working?

I've set up my CCPM Fury and it's nearly ready to fly, using the 9C. BUT I can't seem to get the idle-ups working... I'm wondering if maybe I've accidently re-assigned a switch or something.

Some background: I'm a rank newbie at this so any advice is appreciated. I've set up pitch-curves in NORM and in idle-up 1/2, but when I move switch E (the default switch to change condition), there is no pitch movement, even though the diff conditions have different curves. I would have expected the pitch to change, given the same stick position and the different curve. All I can think of is that I've inadvertantly re-assigned the switch to something else.

There doesn't seem to be any on-screen indicator to show you're in a different 'condition' ... so something isn't working. I *need* help Also, the throttle hold condition does seem to work when I move that switch.

You must make Idle 1 and 2 active. They come factory preset at INH.
This is done in the advance menu.

Chris,
Thanks for your prompt reply to my problem. I've just had a look through the advance menus, but I'm still not sure under which headings I can find the option to enable my idle-ups

I'll keep looking, but if you could tell me exactly it would be much appreciated.

idle ups

Greg,
Go to the advance menu and then thr-curve. Use the select to scroll to the norm. Then us the dial to scroll to the IDL1,IDL2 or IDL3. When you get to the one you want use the select to scroll to the MIX-INH. Use the dial to change to on (or off depending on which way the switch is thrown). Hope this helps.

Hi,
Make sure you haven't disabled the idle up throttle curves also.
This inhibits idle up.

If in doubt.

READ THE MANUAL.
Each everytime you browse through the manual you'll know twice as much as you did the previous time you read it. By the end of summer you'll know it almost inside and out. Even inside once you've gotten to part about how to adjust the sticks spring tension.

Twobeers,
I'm not exactly happy with the European version of the manual that I got with the controls. I have been through it quite a few times and it seems to me that it's more of a glorified reference card than anything else. If you know exactly what you want to do, it'll show you the steps to take. But, if you don't know which menu to start in, it's not much help. I wouldn't mind getting hold of the American manual that was put together by the USA Futaba agent... but that's another story.

I have worked out the idle-ups now thanks to the advice given. The main problem was I was playing with PIT-CUR to get an idle-up response, when the enable switch was in THR-CUR.

And an extra thanks to the other Greg who offered to step me through. I'm going flying this morning though - I'll let you know how it goes!
