Guys,

I have decided that I need to break out the old automotive spray guns from my motorhead days and try to do some better painting than rattle can jobs. I have a nice touch-up gun and compressor. Also have a little compressor that they sell @ Walmart for $99 with regulator. Plan on using it for an airbrush.

I do not have an airbrush but am getting close on breaking down and buying one. What are you guys using? Paasche? Badger? What?

Also, who sells a nice selection of base colors that are compatable with automotive clear coats systems?

What auto clear coats are you guys using? I used to shoot the PPG line but that was 10 yrs ago.

If you were going down to the paint shop what chemicals & accessories would you buy to get going? (i.e. reducers, fish-eye remover, wax/grease removers?????)

Just trying to get geared up.

Thanks,
Payton

A little help...

Lift,

Lots of folks looking at your post, but none responding. That's usually a sign to go searching...

Just click on "SEARCH" and look for words like: Clear Coat,
Paint, Airbrush, Canopy-FX, etc...

That should get you headed down the right path!

Paint Suggestions

I work with Joe, and he has been an incredible resource in my personal knowledge. Second to none. Just get you a cheap couple of gravity guns, good tape, and some HOK supplies. Get your feet wet and as you find questions drop a post and we'll try and help.
