Any body hear anything about this. These batteries are supposed to be much better than lipo and safer too.

That sounds promising. I was just a little concerned about the different voltage of 2.1v per cell. How would that work in our current format for reciever voltage etc... You would need at least 3 cells to get above the 4.8v mark. Then we would be back into the regulator thing again. It would be awsome if the receiver manufactures and gyro manufactures ran off of 6-7 volts instead of the 4.8v. Then we could do away with the regulators an use all of the availabe current discharge rates in these lithium cells. At least make it an option somehow just like you can switch from digital servo to analog servo on the gy-401.

I would assume that the current chargers would need a new charge algorithym due to the lower voltage per cell. So that means i would need a nother eprom upgrade from my orbit.

rchelitek, I was wondering when you were going to chime in on this one. I've got to get one of those orbit chargers. How much do they charge for an upgrade like that? No pun intended.
