Hi,

I was thinking about making my own 12cell packs up for a Logo10 but then looked at the price of loose cells compared to a ready made make and I wont save alot of money, so is there any advantages in making up your own packs ?

There isn't really any advantage to make your own packs and you won't save that much money to make it worth it.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I looked into making my own packs, and you don't save that much, (unless you make a lot of packs)

If my wife finds out how much these things cost, she's gonna kill me!!!

I would probably save more money if I could buy those loose cells locally but as it stands I still have to pay shipping. But as an example let's see how much I saved at 5 dollar shipping cost: Using edogfilght.com as a reference I could purchase two 2 cell kokam 1500ma SHD batteries for $66 or $33 per pack. Or I could buy the cells individually for a total of $52 or $13 per cell. Let's see that's a $14 dollar savings. Subtract $2 for mini deans connectors and now we are down to a $12 dollar savings. That's worth it to me. Plus I could add additional potting around the leads where they exit the battery.

So I guess it just depends on what type of deals you can find.

Numbers used were from items on special at
edogflight.com
Of course the numbers are subject to change at any time.
