Which NIMH cells are best for duration flying with the Logo 10?

I have read that many people are using the GP3300mAh cells, but I have also read that the "GP's" are not the best ones.

Later on I plan on using Li-PO's, but for now these are all I can afford.

Thanks, Hayden.

Hayden,
I've been using GP3300s in my Logo 10 with great success. I just made the jump to LiPo which leaves me with a practically new 14-cell pack of zapped GP3300s. The pack was built by www.battlepack.com and has maybe 10 cycles on it. Would you be interested?

I have two GP3300 packs which I've been using. One more seasoned in life and the new one mentioned above. The newer pack has a bit more "oomph" but I don't really know if it is because the pack is newer (or the other one is older, which ever way you want to look at it) or because the newer pack is zapped and the older one isn't.

The next best option to GP3300 is the Sanyo HR-SC2600. I have a pack of those as well but it honestly doesn't feel any different than the GP3300s, it just gives me slightly shorter flight times.

One thing is for sure, these NiMh batteries definitely like to be flown fresh off a nice fast charge (say 6 A). That makes more difference between my packs then the cell type and age of the pack!

I second the GP-3300's, especially if you're looking for duration. They will give you a good mix of punch and duration, much better than the nicad flight times. They will take twice as long to charge as a CP-2400 pack however, about one hour. The 2600's are supposed to pack a lot of puch too but I haven't tried them. The couple extra minutes of flight time seems more important to me though. Also I find the 3300's maintain RPM a lot longer into flight than the nicads, but once headspeed starts to decrease it does so much more quickly, so be prepared to land quickly.

Jordan's got that right! I get about 7 mins of nearly full powered flight but then in the next 30 seconds the heli goes from that to not flying at all. You really have to know your power system and flight times.
