Miniature Aircraft Nitro/Gas Helicopters > X-Cell SE help!!!!!!!

I just bought an Ex-Cell 99SE that was crashed. I got it for $250.00 with a YS 61 and a Hatori one piece muffler. I would really like to rebuild it, but I didn't get the manuall with the heli. So I am not sure what the part numbers are so I can look into the cost of the repairs. I am sure it will not be cheap to fix. But for that price, I couldn't pass it up. It looks to be a very low time ship. I will list the "known" damage. But I really need to get a copy of the manuall. And it wouldnt hurt for you guys to tell me where the best place would be to find the parts.

Thanks in advance.

Damages:
Frames for front radio tray: both broken
one of the upper frames: broken
One of the lower canopy mounts: missing in action
Canopy: gone
One of the radio trays: Broken in half where the wording is cut into it
Vertical fin: gone
Boom supports: gone
Landing gear: Broken
Tail boom: small split at the tail end
Main and tail blades: both broken
Some bent pushrods
And as always: main shaft, feathering shaft, and flybar
Also was missing the flybar paddles.

So should I just ditch it? Or rebuild it? Any help would be great.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

sounds fixable

ronlund.com has the SE plans on it.

If your going to keep the machine, the
manual is probably worth the cost.

Fury

Consider buying a fury expert for @ 650. It will probabably cost about the same and you'll have all the parts. Good luck.

Already have a Fury 60 Expert on the way. Nice try though. Have you seen one of these things? It has more upgrades than I would have imagined. The head is super sweet. So I think I am going to build it.

Thanks anyway

Just flew my 99SE last night, I forgot how smooth the SE was. This is one great ship. I also have a Fury Expert and honestly like the SE better.

Rebuilt it

Hi Brian,

I do also own a 99SE it is a great machine. Once I had to endure a crash caused by radio interference and I had to watch how my Hi-Tech toy dived, nose first, into the ground. The repair cost, if I remeber correctly, was approx.
$ 700. Anyway I got some parts for sale check them out here http://members.rogers.com/rc-heli/

Cheers
