I have a Hacker C50 15L in my Logo 10. Power is Ok but nothing exiting. I am running 14 cells GP3300 and 8000 TP Lipos 4s4p.

Is it worth changing to a C50 13L. Has anybody experience if the power gain is that noticable running the same cells.

How many teeth on the pinion? Often changes here can result in significant changes in motor behavior.

The 13L is more suited to the 4s4p TP pack for that voltage as its similar to a 12 cell pack that many people...myself included run, with the 15 tooth pinion. The 15L is too tame of motor for the TP pack to give good power because you just have less voltage. You might look to upgrade, that or check out the new Tanic cells and see about getting a higher voltage pack. The Tanics are rated to 10C as opposed to 5C on the TP's.

Where can you get Tanic packs and read up about them ?

Over at www.rcgroups.com there have been several threads about them in Heli use, and you can get them from http://www.e-flightline.com They don't have the bigger packs listed, but I think if you call them, they can set you up.

BTW...I was doing some figuring, and if you went to a 15 tooth pinion on your same setup you'd be getting over 1800 RPM on the head (assuming 100% on your governor settings) Currently you're under 1800 on the head, which is probably why your performance is less than stellar. (On the TP packs) On 14 cells and 100% on your governor you're at almost 1900rpm's which should be fine. So going to a different pinion should raise your headspeed some.

Really the only advantage of going to the 13L from a headspeed standpoint is that you have less batteries (if using round cells)

Also, you might switch to using the 3300HV's or the HR2600's as they both pack more punch than the GP3300's.
