Miniature Aircraft Nitro/Gas Helicopters > 8101 Servos, OK for Fury?????

I have a Fury 60 Expert on the way as well as everything needed with the exception of the radio gear. So now I am on to planning that step. I already know that I am going to be running a GY401 gyro combo, so that takes care of the tail. I will also most likely be running a 4735 servo on the throttle (To much????). And a JR649PCM RX. So all that leaves is the CCPM servos. Will 8101's be sufficent to do the job? I was thinking about going with digital servos, but am a little turned off by the power drain. I am running JR gear as you can tell, and would preffer to stay with JR stuff. Plus the kit I ordered is for JR servos. Any suggestions?

Thanks

IF YOU HAVE THEM USE THEM

They will work fine. I know people that use 9202 and 4131 JM

the 8101 is an newer 4131. It has the bearing holding the main output spaced further apart. The 4131 have a great reputaiton and I have used them for years. I used a set of 8101 on my Fury when it was a 50 for the entire summer last year. I put a 60 in it over the winter and put my 8231 digital's in it and notice no difference. I like the 8101's and at 90 in. oz. they have a little more torque than the Futaba 9202.

Thanks guys. Any other oppinions will be apreciated. I think I might just give them a try. But as I said I will take any and all suggestions under advisement.

Thanks again.

Brian,

I think Harkey (DavidH) or maybe Gordie Meade was/is? running 8101s on a Fury with good results.

I know David is headed for Toledo, the lucky bum.

I had a Baby Sluggo CCPM and used 4131s (which are basically the same as 8101s) on it with excellent results. Unless one of the servos is far out of sync, it is just a matter of tweaking the ATVs to get a smooth ship. You will probably get a little interaction at both ends of the swashplate run, but a little is no big deal for sport flying.

A buddy used Futaba 9252s on a TSK AcroStar, and there was absolutely NO interaction. Those are some big-buck servos, but you get what you pay for with them.
