2 quick questions....

1) I have heard people talk about "flipping the head" can anyone tell me what that means?

2) With the head assembled, the flybar screws (through the head bushings) seem to be a bit "snug". There is a washer on the inner side, but none on the outer side. It seems that the screws that hold this assembly together are binding on the bushings. Alsmost as if the flybar assembly is too narrow for the head. Is there anything I can do to free it up?

Thanks in advance for any help...

Can you post the part #'s in question so I can better follow what you are explaining?

Also from the head Bk0003 to the flybar seesaw assemble.

Also, while out looking at this thing again, I pulled on one of the linkages (BK0092 page 9) and I pulled the rod out from the ball link. is this common? It was not stripped when I screwed it in. I will be replacing this link, but I would like to know if this is an issue..
Thanks

Ok, couple of things here. There are lots of info on the head flip, won't get into that don't have the time right now. If you can't wait you can do a search for it here or check out several websites on it. I'm assembling my second raptor and although my first one needed flipping to fix a few wierd quirks i am not assembling my 2nd one "flipped" until I fly it first. Go by the book first then do the mod if you have problems, my advice on that.

You mentioned bushings in your first post. If you have bushings, and not the full bearing kit, then you may get binding on that bolt if oyu tighten it down real tight. The solution would be to get the bearing upgrade, or back that screw off a touch and loctite it there. You should loctite them anyway. Same goes for any other place you have bushings and not bearings. I would spend the money and get the bearing upgrade myself, small price to pay for a big improvement.

On your second post, you pulled the threaded rod out of the black ball link end? woah, that was a crash waiting to happen. If I got this wrong let me know, but it sounds like that's what you did. It must have been defective and no they are not supposed to do that. If you just snapped the link off of a ball then thats ok as long as it took some force.
