e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > Birdseed battery problem

I just got my Hummingbird, and while I was building it I connected the battery to my Hobbico Field Charger MKII, set the amps at 0.6, and let the battery charge for quite some time until it was ready. After I flew my hummingbird and took the battery off I noticed that the battery was leaking , but it was the first time I've used it , I find it hard to believe that the battery is ruined after only one charge, thank god I bought 2 extra lipo's with the bird so I'm not that worried about the flying being interrupted because of that. Can anybdy explain me why would this happen?? and if the battery is ruined or not??

Thanks

sounds like you over charged it, I'm not familiar with the charger, but I've run dozens of flights out of my birdeeds using the wall charger, no problems so far. I'm careful not to over charge them though

It's a peak detector charger, It should have set it off it by itself
