| Today on my GPH I was doing a lot of idle-up 2 tumbling and when it came time to land, I switched to normal, started to land and as I brought the thottle down, my head speed didn't come down. It started to slow down some, and I was able to get it down and kill the engine.
What happed was the throttle arm off the OS 46SF actually broke, probably broke off completely when I killed the engine, so the throttle barrel was open at a certain point. I went to the LHS and bought a new arm and installed it. Went to test the throttle and the engine would not engage the clutch. At about 1/2 throttle the rotor would start to slowly move.
I pulled the clutch out. The shoe itself appears to be discolored on the sides but looks like the fit to the liner/bell housing is ok. So, is it the clutch shoe, the liner, or something else.
When I did restart the engine, the engine did have a higher pitch to the sound. I also noticed that the engine didn't seem to have a whole lot of compression anymore, although I do not know how much it had before for comparison. The engine is the ringed version of the OS 46SF.
Any help is appreciated.
