| Some vibration can come from the tail rotor blades and is usually high frequency up and down but can resonate at much lower frequencies. A bent Tail rotor axle can also be to blame. The main rotor can be out of balance or out of track. When using wood blades even when they "balance" the difference in lift between the blades can cause vibration. It is a matter of checking, changing one thing at a time until you find out what the problem is. Small weights on the flybar can be used to "tune" the head for minor "Lead Lag" differences between blades (chord wise CG error). Sometimes it is necessary to just dissemble and check the shafts for straightness. |
