| I do not reccommend breaking in with a prop. THis is an ABC engine and needs to be broken in at the operating temperature and RPM that it will be run at. Break it in with about the same mixture that you will be flying it, don't run it excessively rich. I had really good luck with SIG Heli 15% nitro / 23% synthetic oil. They also run pretty good on 10% nitro.
Expect 12-15 min flight times.
Also, ensure all of the screws are tight on the engine prior to runing it. I have also found the o-rings on the main needle to be easily damaged. It will show up as a continual leaning problem that can't seem to be controlled regardless of the needle setting. I think they install them dry at the factory and as a result, many get cut upon initial installation. If you picked your engine up with the needle valve not installed, wet it with fuel before installing it.
This engine also get incredible performance from the OS 46fxh carb (40c I believe) and the OS 6B carb. |
