Computer Flight Simulators > Dave Brown's Simulator - RCFS2001

I am a newbie who is still in the process of completing my Xcell .60.

I have been looking for the "right" simulator for me. I was going to go with G2 because I had heard a great many things about it. That is, until I spoke with my local heli shop and the clerk mentioned Dave Brown's sim RCFS2001. He said that the physics were much better than CSM and more realistic than G2.

Has anyone used RCFS2001? If so, how did you like it? Any problems? The cost is slightly cheaper, $149 with the controller.

Thanks for the help!

That was my next question.. Does the sim really emulate the real thing. Glad to know that it does. I've stopped crashing for the most part, but sometimes I let it get to far away and I can't determine the orientation of the chopper and it goes in.. Or it goes nose in flying sideways and I lose my perspective. I try to imagine myself in the cockpit so I know which way I want to turn. Practice, practice, practice..

Thanks

I can't compare the G2 sim but I have Dave Browns 2001 and love it. My first startup on the new raptor was hovering imm. now working on nose in hover.

Good luck with what ever you get.
