I was just curious if I'm the only guy that has a TT36 on my Raptor 30 and is happy with it. Ever since I've took it out of the box and put it on it's ran fine ever since. It seems like everyone I've talk to slams it and says it's junk. I just wondered if I'm the only SOB in the world who got a good one. I mean I love my os engines, but this motor was free to me and I don't see a problem with it.

From what I understand it's a bit of a lottery if ya get a good one it's great if ya get a bad one you're... well you know. I don't do well in lotteries so I bought a OS32.

My tt36 ran really good until the bearing in it went out. I have been trying to get one from ace since october of last year and no one can seem to get one. I never had any problems with mine and was happy until i couldnt get any parts. I went and bought an os32 just so i could fly and probably wont go back to a tt motor.

I have used two TT36s and both are good. Basically there are about 60,000 Raptors out there with TT36s and 99.5% of them have never heard of this web site.

TT36

Hi,

I am using TT36's in both my rappy's and they run pretty good(also 3D-stuff).
One is with the old carb, the other with the new type.
The only problems i had with them are that the main-needles were too loose so i put a piece of fueltube over it that cured the problem.

Only when i try"Wild" aerobatics, like funnels, chaos, piroflips etc... the engine bogs down, but you cant expect that much power from a .30 size heli

Bye,

If it bogs down you have it set up wrong. Either you are running it too rich, or you have too much blade pitch.

The way you set the max blade pitch is to pick the most pitch in which the rotors never go below a target RPM, like 1550 or something. So if you are running 12 degrees, then lower it to 10 or whatever.

Sorry, I am a newbie but I just read that.

I love mine, run it on 15% nitro juice with 100% synthetic oil stuff.
Found it hates any castor oil.
And it seems to like the Enya 3 much more than the OS 8 plug.

I use TT36 in both my Raptors and i run them on Cool Power 15
with the Enya #3 and a Hattori pipe (think it's the 333) the both work wery good with good power etc. It's a hard thing to hit the right
needle adjustment on the TT's but with some patience it works.
Default settings I use with my setup is High-speed needle 2 turns
Low-speed needle Close carb screw needle in and 1 turn back out.
