for some reason my carb on my os32/rappy has been taking less throw to open, after my big problem with the ATV's i got them down from 140/48 to 75/70, now it wants to work at 55/55, i set the arm on the carb to be at 90 degrees fully closed, when its fully open i only have to move it about 45 degrees, i took a look at my other os32 (same motor) and from closed to open is about an 85 degree turn, how can this be??? is there a screw in the carb that would make this happen? how bout the air screw in the side of the arm? i know if it screws in too far it will stop it, but i havent touched it. and the carb fully opens and closes, i just put my new piston in last night, everything was fine. i cant use it at 55/55 ATV, at hover.. once again the motor is screming! I had this thing dialed in perfect! ive got the 15lb sledge waiting!!!!!!

I found the bitch now! my KSJ comp. exhaust holes are stripped so i had to put in a longer screw with a nut and lock washer, you couldnt tell but the corner of the nut was barely hanging it up! im gonna do a fine adjustment to the carb arm.

He means your sepup was off. Your throttle linkage needs to be at a 90 degree angle when the throttle barrel is 1/2 open. You stated you had yours at 90 degrees when fully closed. I look back through the setup instructions may do some justice.

LOL, to many Vikes. I had neck surgery two weeks ago last Thursday to have my spine dremeled on. I had my right arm going numb. Sorry for the typo. Painkillers suck. But I'm a thumb flier and I need my thrumbs 100%. That numb stuff was for the birds. I catch myself making typos alot but catch most. Thanks for pointing it out.

That’s about the right word though. But I'm sure he meant Shoot! It's getting better every day but still not good enough to trust myself flying my CS or even my Ergo for that matter. I'm jonesing pretty bad. I do some sim flying but I haven't been out since a day before the surgery. Two or three weeks and I'll be as good as new. I hoping flying will be good therapy for my neck. Pretty scary to think someone has a dremel in there grinding out some bone to give your nerve more room. Glad the doctor wasn't hung over that day. LOL

Sorry i meant shoot... I can recall a post with the main subject having "Damn" in it.....actually i can find a couple like that! I have also seen a few words flying around in reply's quite often lately. Why am i being picked on? No one else got a little lecture like i did. Relax YSRIDER im not gonna cut loose and start cussing like crazy or anything. An i would think that Mark, Being the nice guy that he is would give a person a warning on the language before he just booted someone. Furthermore he could just delete my post if he thought it was offending or the wrong "LINGO" .......... but anyway Rick i hope ya get better...... sorry its been a long day and i had to vent alittle. I'm sure Mark will understand but I would still edit the posts if were you guys, that kind of implies to the both of ya. I’m sure there are some youngsters on here reading at times. Not that they have never heard the language before but it might be better if they hear it at home and not from a stranger. Sometimes nothing else fits the situation though but a certain word right to the point.

Ya I think alvinrc had a pretty close match. Looked like the neurosurgeon had the picture in mind when he was making the cut. Actually I think I will be up to flying next week some time. I'm going to keep an eye on the weather. No more tingling or numbness in the arm. That’s the best thing of all, well worth some discomfort.

Need more advice.....

ok, got my throttle working, my gyro all set, new piston/sleeve, but the motor is still doing the same thing, It will idle perfect then rev up on its own then idle down, does this about every 5 seconds, the servo is not causing this, i watched it to make sure. I put brand new fuel line everywhere, cleaned out the filter, the motor does not appear to be leaking gas /oil out of anywhere, not even the bearings, im baffled!

im gonna take the motor out again and inspect the carb and reset the low speed needle, also plan on changing my glow plug, although i have never had a problem with a working glow plug. if i cant finger the problem, im swaping the entire motor for another working OS32.

can someone give me a tip on removing the fan? does it thread off? it was a B**** just trying to get the nut off, i had to use a blow torch (pencil torch) some dumb f*** put non serviceable loc tite on it (red) ive always had perfect luck with the blue if you allow it enough time to properly dry, usually over night, i work on my toys at night and they're ready in the morning, couldnt work out more perfect!

thanx, HAPPY EASTER!

The fan hub just sits on the tapered brass cone. JR makes a puller that makes the job easier. Without one you will just have to hold fan hub with something and tap on the crank. Put the nut back on the crank and keep it at the very end of the crankshaft, the end of the crank threads should be flush with the nut. Try holding the the clutch hub and smack the crank/nut, it should come loose pretty easy. Order a puller for future repair jobs. Great little tool tp have in the shop.
