MSFS Pro

I do use it.. but not for R/C flying.. The full scale aircraft don't fly anything like our twitchy models. If you want a sim that'll help you with R/C, get Real Flight G2 .. or even the Lite version if you don't want to spend $200 on a piece of software.

MSFS beta test team

First, it is to early to talk about 2004...get my meaning?

The way I got on the team is applied to one of there adds with my qualifications and they accepted. I had been doing that FS from the very first run...which, I think was 1983-Bruce Artwick wrote the original,..
I used to fly in the Air Force and I am an Engineer,...I think all those things helped me get in.

You are an MSFS addict,..I can relate...I am a MSFS FREAK!!!!

Lets converse more on this.

Yeah, most people who don't know think of it as a game, and it is a true simulation. In fact all of the Military branches use it in some form.

It is also recognized by the FAA for some qualifications.

Landings are too easy?!!!

MSFS2002 is a serious simmers paradise. No shoot them-up here... just solid GA Aviation.

My friend Sodflyer, the trick is to change the aircraft realism settings to hard and try to fly with real weather... I will bet that the aircraft isn't going to be so easy to land... "once again the student becomes the master "

I love MSFS PRO but aside a few aircrafts I don't use the GMAX tool. It would have been cheaper to buy the standard edition and download some awsome aircrafts from the web...checkout:

I also love flying with my CH USB Joke... a must for serious simmers. Hopefully I will get the rudder pedals for my birthday (I'll have to beg the wife)

settings and landings

Yes I agree, dial up some realism settings, induce some weather that is not perfect, reduce visability, and get an aircraft that has a good flight model, like an upgraded Lear...and the landing can be a bitch-put crash "on". Get that down and put in 10-15 knot x-wind 45 deg to front of aircraft,..gust to 25. Land that and then reduce vis to 750-1000ft and shoot a "by the book ILS"...this should increase the heart rate.

See guys this is great stuff, you can virtually dial in anything you want, and have a go.

It is still amazing to me that code and computers have changed so much that you can get this for approx. 60.00US.

Mike G,

I need to get with you and discuss your experiences with MSFS. It's very cool that you're a beta tester. I have tried other sims but I keep coming back to MSFS as the BEST simulator for GA. The only thing that I would improve upon is ATC with stars and sids, terrain mesh and textures... but that's what third party add-ons are for... I guess

Besides Runryder (for helis)... the MSFS simmer's community is one of the best on the net... there is no shortage of talented and hard working individuals that contribute to a great product.

My dear immigrant friend, I am well aware of weather settings on the simulator. I try to keep them current with the weather conditions here in Longmont.

Remember this "Grasshopper" I brought you in to this heli world and I can take you out!!!! Because mail order (masters) don't mean nothin' to me!!!!

I was suprised to see the full scale heli simulators using MSFS also. They added a cyclic and collective and one added a motion system but the sim was just MSFS.
