Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > JetCopter Setup

I flew my jetcopter for the first time yesterday, and I need some experienced input. Admittedly I am used to flying my Fury Extreeme which is very responsive. The Jetcopter seemed to be very slugish and slow to respond to cyclic inputs. I also had a difficult time trimming it. It seemed to change trim settings from minute to minute. I am running all new digital servos so I know that's not the problem. Im thinking about maybe using some light paddles or possibly some negative expo to try and get the response up a bit but am weary about overdoing it. Anybody got any suggestions?

Set Up

Remember that the jetcopter has a fairly constant head speed. What are your maximum swash throws and what degrees are you using? My jetcopters are very agile. Not quite like the fury, but close. Later, Terry

you do have to remember this is a heavy bird with a lot of weight, which translates to a lot of momentum, which may make the heli feel a bit out of trim ... the Jetcopter will not come even close to performing like your Fury ... take a look at the video of the jetcopter that is on the www.arizonaheli.com web site, you will see there Jason Krouse flying of of the jetcopters ...

Heavy?

Well, It does fly heavy, but you just have to get a little ahead of it. Mine is very nimble. Actually, It is the smoothest ship I have had. That is a great video!

Responsive Jetcopter

Troy here is my set up on the jetcopter,
-9, -4, 0, +4, +14
i have my cyclic set to 6 degrees movement for full ail and elev.
set your blade pitch to 0 degrees, not feed in full ail left and right and set the throws so you get -6 and +6 at the blades. do the same for the elevator.

What you are seeing is the thrust from the pipe effecting your hover and not the heli going out of trim. you should add the feathering spindle center bearing and the harder o-rings to the head.
