The auto rotation hub of my r30 lock up yesterday after a flight, with some force, I finally "free" it. Is the auto hub still safe for use, what will happen if it locks up in flight? I have use it for another 3 tanks for now, seem to me it is fine.

I dont know how many miles you put on it but it sounds like it wasnt oiled before initial usage. Tear it down, clean it with spray carb cleaner, dry it and then put light oil on the roller BBs, reassemble and it should be ok unless it has been damaged already but you wont know till its been cleaned and lubed.

Mine hasnt locked up in flight, but it has on the ground after the last flight of the day. I usually clean and wipe it down after a days flight and I turned the TR with my finger and it was really backwards. It didnt budge until put a lot of force on it. Looks like Ill be taking it out to oil it some more. Better safe than sorry.

They are a little tight from the box, I used a VERY fine sand paper and removed some of the metal, also, get rid of the grease that comes with it and use some oil, that helps alot.
